JEKYLL & HYDE
The Jekyll & Hyde series originated from the idea of crafting furniture from a single piece of material. Starting with a single sheet of aluminum, the shape gets laser-cut, and the first two folds are then machine-bent, after which the third fold is finally shaped into a right angle by hand.
The shape was inspired by the gothic novel "Jekyll and Hyde." The term is used in reference to something that alternately displays two different sides of its nature.
Both sides of Jekyll & Hyde have different shapes (square and circular), they form the basis of the design. From different viewing perspectives, you see a different shape of the same chair. This is where the concept of Jekyll & Hyde comes into play.

Jekyll & Hyde aims to revolutionize chair manufacturing by introducing a singular-material chair design that eliminates the need for multiple components and assembly processes. Traditional chairs rely on various parts like screws, angle holders, legs, tops, and glue, whereas this innovative design consolidates everything into one visually striking piece.
This approach reduces material usage, minimizes waste, and challenges resource-intensive manufacturing practices. Additionally, it streamlines the manufacturing process, saving time and labor. Ultimately, the project produces chairs that are both exceptionally crafted and environmentally sustainable.
